COBRA / State Continuation Extended To All Group Health Insurance Clients
With new benefit laws and changing compliance requirements, employers are left with the risk of fines, penalties, and litigation. As your benefits broker, Patrick M Kuster feels it is his duty to provide you with the services you need to seamlessly continue offering your employee benefits while reducing your administrative burdens.
As a result of this turbulent environment, Patrick M Kuster will be filling in some of the administrative gaps that many health insurance companies have not made a priority. In accordance with New York State Insurance Law § 4224, and N.J.S.A. 17:29A-15; 17:29AA-14; and 17B:30-13; and N.J.A.C. 11:17A-2.3 and 2.4, Patrick M Kuster has contracted a third party administrator (TPA) to extend ALL group health insurance clients with COBRA / State Continuation administration services at his cost. This includes the Notice of COBRA Availability, election notices, Initial COBRA rights notice, as well as premium collection and billing notifications. Patrick has also been working with the TPA to incorporate the required Exchange Notification (Notice to Employees of Coverage Options) and the Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs) to the services which will be fulfilled at his cost.
